Does the Fiddler Trick Still Work? (On an HTC 8X WP8)

Hey everyone,

I'm coming back to WP from a brief stint with Blackberry 10. My phone needs are minimal to normal so I dont need (or want) a top-of-the-line Nokia.

I can pick up a new HTC 8X for pennies (relativiely) but will miss some Nokia specific apps so I wanna give the proxy/Fiddler method a go.

Does it still work?

FYI - I'm gonna stick with WP 8 , not 8.1. I prefer the FB/Twitter integration with the hub better and don't live in a country were Cortana is a big use so I wont use it. I understand all of the cool features of 8.1 having used the PD 8,1 on my previous HTC 8S. I say all this to keep the "why don't you go with 8.1" comments to a minimum.

Anyway, Can I still install Nokia apps on a 8X w/WP8?

Yes, you need to buy them, here maps comes free. But here drive+ is an awesome buy.

I'll second HERE drive + being awesome. I was fortunate enough to get it when it was free. Definitely better than any other GPS I've used on a phone.
