Hello, I've read in multiple threads online about people speaking of the Lumia 950 or 950 XL heating while charging or so, is that true? and would it usually cause a problem? And does anyone of you guys have any idea which phone heats more or has more problems?

Thanks.

Every phone in the world heats in 3 cases:

1 - charging
2 - data sync / up/ down (especially data carrier more than wifi, and some hours after an upgrade)
3 - heavy computing

Thats' all and that's normal )

charging current is high (3A) and the higher the current, the more heat is produced. Basic Physics :-)

Yea well I was just wondering if it were anything abnormal. And I actually didn't know you can choose between fast charging and normal charging (or can you?) - thanks guys!

You can based on the cord you have. I have a USB C to USB A cable, and because that is how is, it doesn't charge fast. I can plug it to a computer too.

it's normal if the phone feels warm. It would be abnormal if the phone was too hot to touch when charging and the phone is on standby

You can use other chargers of lower rating - it would just charge slower
