Double tap to wake fail more frequently

Hi, I have my new Lumia 735 and I updated the firmware to the latest version (15184). But the double tap to wake function more often is still failing, that makes it really unreliable. Is there any more remedies for it? Plus I am using WP 8.1 and not W10.

Make sure the proximity sensor isn't covered whenever you need to double-tap.

But I use my phone while I'm standing at work. Nothing is blocking it, or could it be the glass screen protector? But it is transparent.

If the protector doesn't have a cutout for the sensor it might cause issues. It may be worth removing, but FWIW, my 830's DTTW wasn't as on-the-ball as my 920's was.

I have tried the double tap feature on almost every (supported) Lumia model, result; they were pretty unstable. Not just your phone

But it very rarely on my 1320 than on the 735 which I almost have every time I unlock my phone. I wish Microsoft will fix it with the Windows 10 and the firmware with it.

It simply isn't reliable on 735 as on some older phones. On my old 520 it was much better. Maybe some firmware in future may help, but don't count yet, it is two years old now..

Please someone with Lumia 735 Windows 10 report feedback to Microsoft because this is an overall experience issue, so they can address it for the next firmware that they will bundle with windows 10 update
