I dunno, I waited this long, at least we know it's actually legit instead of ambiguous comments that it should be coming.

It'll come when it can!

950XL unlocked US here. Really needing this update. I know many people are not having issues, but experience all of the issues described in the changelog for this FW update. Also my phone has had major overheating issues lately more than usual. Particularly with Bluetooth connected (FAST ring Insider here). I've been checking for this update so often I'm driving myself crazy. haha

I didn't realise I had the update until I was playing in the settings. Go to extras, touch and you will see double tap to wake and double tap to sleep (always there). You might have it and not realise.

It was a nice surprise :)

That is a nice surprise for you - and I'm glad that you had that nice surprise waiting. :) Unfortunately, there are plenty of us out here who don't have it yet. I'm trying to be patient as it would be nice to have that feature on the 950 XL at last.

Just for your information: AFAIK 1 day ago MS has started finally offering via WDRT the firmware to Operator branded Italy 950*. So they're working on it, after all. Just scattering the waves.

If you have an unlocked Lumia 950 dual-SIM model sold in the US-Canada (NAM CV), you should now be able to see firmware version 01078.00053.16236.35005 available on the Windows Device Recovery Tool. It may also be possible with the 950 XL, but I can't confirm.

Yep you are correct, its showing up in WDRT now for the 950 DS. Really want tap to wake, but don't want to blow my phone away and restore. I imagine being in WRDT means its coming OTA soon. Shouldn't take long for them to push it to the unlocked devices, but maybe something to do with dual sim devices.

I've confirmed that the DTTW Firmware is not currently available for my US Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM on the Windows Device Recovery Tool.

Just saw it's available on WDRT, but I really don't want to have to go back to 10586. Think I'll wait for OTA, I assume it's coming soon since it's available on WDRT
