Downloaded Windows 10 to my Windows 7 home premium Acer laptop and i now have 2 problems

Problem 1, I switch on, Windows icon come on then screen goes black and I have to switch off and then on again for the connection to be made.
2, When Windows goes into sleep mode, it will not recover and I have problem 1 again
