Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to force a program to run at 100% scaling even though the windows scaling is 200%.

For more context I've got employees that are using surface books which run at 200% scaling. Some old software we use as a company must be run at 100%.

If I change the windows setting to 100% then it is too small for the user to read. Therfore I bumped the resolution down wayyyy low to compensate. This is very much a bandaid and any help would be appreciated!!

Find the program's exe in the program folder. Right click and choose Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Click on Change high DPI settings. Put a check next to Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: And choose System. (Or it might be Application. I can't remember which off-hand)

That's how it works on the current version of Windows 10. If you have an older version, follow the same steps to get to the Compatibility page and the DPI options are going to be in that tab.
