Dropped phone, and now proximity sensor is busted. Will replacing the screen fix the sensor?

Hi there. I dropped my phone and the screen cracked, and the proximity sensor is broken -- the screen always turns black when I make a call. I was thinking of replacing the screen. Will this likely fix the issue with the proximity sensor, so the phone is usually for calls again?

Thanks

Only the repair people can tell...ain't your screen supposed to go black when you put it near your ears when making a call?

Proximity sensor and screen, 2 different things...so if you replace the screen I don't think it'll fix the proximity sensor *unless the display replacement has a proximity sensor in it*.

P.S. - Laughed on this "I take my phone away from my head." because I imagined this,
