I have a ln 8x and a 520 and ive never seen my 520 light up like that, please correct me if im wrong

Every Windows Phone I have had and seen function this way. I can't tell you for sure the 520 has backlit buttons.

Me either, its only sat in the cupboard it only sees the light of day when i can be bothered to see if it has an update or someone says about a great new Nokia app then i look and pop it back in its box and go back to hugging my 8x

520 doesn't have back-lit buttons. Only Lumia that doesn't i believe.

Its ok ive found a great alternative to my 520 not having backlit buttons,
