Yeah, same thing happening for me. However I noticed that I'm also getting triple notifications on my desktop (Windows 8.1 installed) from the Twitter app. I wonder if somehow having multiple windows devices with twitter installed is somehow affecting the notifications. By the way, I also have Twitter on my Surface RT.

I'm getting quad feeds. Just recently started doing this. The in-app setting I've seen mentioned, is that the notification setting? I'm running Twitter Beta and don't see the option in there.

Latest count is 7 messages for every notification.

4 months left on my contract....

It's these issues plus the hugely disappointing app situation and the near daily live tile failures that are just helping my make up my mind. I just want things to work as they should. Love WP but don't appreciate the hassles that go with it.
