Earphones not working on 650

I was using JBL earphones with my 640 before I upgraded to 650. But when i connect the earphones to the 650 the volumes decreases to 0 and even after increasing it goes back to 0. The earphones that have come with it work just fine. Anyone with the same problem or having a trick to solve this?

anything special about the jbl earphones? And do they work still with the 640?

Wired earphones. Yes it works well with 640, my laptop and other devices.

It was a known issue with L650 but was fixed with latest update. Are you on latest update?

I have 535, 920 and 1520. None of these had a functional headphone jack.

I have not got the firmware update yet. Hopefully that will fix it

Even after the firmware update? Probably the earphones are not supported. My Nokia earphones used to not work with my 640/650
