Earpiece speaker quit working today, then came back to life.

I was performing CPR on my new 1520 today, and the earpiece is working again, but it's cut out a few times. I wonder if my earpiece speaker is actually going bad or if it's a software glitch.

I had a similar issues with my launch day 1520. It would not work for me at all. Users could not hear me nor could I hear them unless the phone was kb speakerphone or if I was using headphones.

So I took it back to att and exchanged for a new 1520 and it has been working fine since then. Knock on wood of course.

Its a good chance it could be defective hardware.

I understand that, I'm comparing it to a common problem with the 928 in which if the earpiece goes out, you have to press on the back of the phone a little harder to get it to work again.

Oh good, I thought it was only me. And now my external speaker is doing the same thing...

I think mine may have done this this morning, the problem is I had almost never used it up to my ear since I rediscovered my love of the Plantronics Voyager Pro+. Just made too much sense to go back to using a Bluetooth headset.
