My lad just got a 930, lovely looking phone and almost as good as my 1520, and I can almost see how it would be considered slightly more practical on a day to day basis than the 6 incher, but we ain't swapping, and don't worry about Windows having a future, I think the future is looking good.
Yup. That's what almost changes their tunes after they try a larger phone. How many millions of iPhone users did that concerning 3.5" and 4" phones a couple months ago?
I disagree. I just got a used 620 (3.8") after cracking my 1020's screen and I think its the best thing since sliced bread. I never quite got used to the 4.5" screen on the 1020, it always felt awkward to use one handed, (and I kept dropping it). I forgot how nice it is to have a phone you can comfortably use one handed.
I went from a 920 to an 830 to a 1020. I definitely prefer the 1020. The 830 was a little too wide, tall and light for me to comfortably use one-handed. 920 was a little too heavy. Maybe a 4.7" screen with a weight that says "quality device" would be my ideal. I almost think it would be easier to even skip past 5" to 6" because there is no illusion or attempt to use one-handed.
Going from the Lumia 800 (3.7") to 920 (4.5") took a while to get used to. But I got used to it in the end. I can't comfortably reach the upper corner when using the phone one handed. I feel going to a 5" device would be harder still. Ultimately, I still feel over time it would be something I could adjust to. I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
