Hi, having preordered the Nokia 950XL I was just wondering, is the edge browser a universal app and therefore can show a full edge browser when used with the dock connected to a monitor using continuum?

If so that is the killer app surely. If not then I think they should.

Also why haven't Microsoft been screaming from the rooftops about a full browser pc experience off a phone?

I'm guessing the Edge browser you have on Windows 10 Mobile will scale up to be the same Edge browser on Windows 10 PCs when the phone is in continuum mode (fingers crossed). If Microsoft can get this done right, Windows Mobile in continuum can achieve the same level of functionality as a Chromebook.

The only worrying part is that the is no mention of it from Microsoft. Surely they would be advertising the fact now?

The MS store near me had a continuum demo set up with a 950. Not only is Edge a universal app and behave like the desktop browser, it is smart enough to load the desktop versions of webpages without changing any settings. It's pretty slick.

Continuum phones aren't available in my country yet so I haven't tried it, but I saw one review thT said that the Edge browser is the same but they blocked the ability to annotate on the web page. But so far, that the only non-supported function I heard about. Its not a dealbreaker.
