Edge takes up huge amounts of memory

[Windows Central Question]

My edge browser is causing my computer to become unusable. It takes several minutes for Taskmanager to come up, but when it does, it shows Edge using several GB of memory. When the computer is working okay, Edge only takes up 100mb or so.

is there anyway to fix this? I have two other computers on Edge and they don't do this.
