Error Code: c101a006

I think Microsoft has finally found solution as I can now download without interruption, no more error c101a006. The problem actually is from Xbox account so this is what you do.

1) go to settings, language and make sure you note the region/country on your phone
2) login to xboxlive.com with your account details
3) at the bottom right corner, there is a new menu option to move your region. Click on this and make sure your region/country details matches with the one on your phone.
4) A pop to accept new Xbox terms and conditions will appear, accept the terms.
5) confirm all other details...eg date of birth to be the same as in your Microsoft account (hotmail, live or outlook)
6) Reboot your phone and enjoy unlimited download and the fun of a great smartphone

note: I have tried this and it worked on my phone.

I followed the above steps and it worked!!!!!!

I started getting this error today too.
Never had a problem before; however, based on the thread talking about the xbox account; I was clued into the fact I did some installs of games on my Surface which uses the same account.
I then went to games and I was able to install a game, now all my updates are installing and other apps too. I also did sign into xbox live using the account; so it may also be that simple; sign in.
Problem solved...

so this isn't just me then. I hate to move my xbox account to my country. it's currently based in US but i am in Philippines

I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but I had my Nokia Lumia 1020 for about a week when I started getting this error code. I googled a few things that were listed and tried them. None worked for me. Then I got to thinking about all the charges I had put on my att account in the last week. I had updated 4 phones, added international calling and texting for my daughter who was visiting Jamaica, and had charged quite a few app purchases to my att account. I was trying to purchase a full movies hd app. It is a free app, but for premuim movies it charges a one time fee of $2.99. I had just purchases 4 apps before this one with no problems. Well, I finally decided to switch my form of payment. Instead of charging the app purchase to my att bill, I put it on my debit card. Got the app to work. Downloaded a few more free ones.. No other problem. Maybe if you have charged a lot on your att bill in one month or have an uncommon usage for the month, an error code occurs. Anyways, worked for me.
