Ex Nokia CEO not a fan of Elop

The guy does have some interesting insight into Nokia, especially since he still has friends there. But it's the same insight anyone who knows some employees there would have.

However, you can ignore him when it comes to opinion on strategy or business. In that respect, he's just like any other person. He's in love with Symbian, and he's convinced that MeeGo was the best thing since sliced bread and could have conquered the world. And Elop was the one who killed it.

When people are so invested emotionally in such opinions, all of their observations will be tainted with that bias.

Well put Winning Guy.

That guy likely has a bad case of envy.

One thing he did not mention much of, and rarely gets mentioned is how Elop is setting up the company for profitability. When he took over Nokia was a big, fat money-burning company. It was quite a surprise last qtr. when it was noticed how little cash Nokia had actually went through. I just saw what analysists are expecting Nokia's cash burn to be this qtr. It will be the same story again. There projections are very high.

Meh if he was better Nokia would be in a better position right now. Nokia's best strategy would be to focus on being the number 1 Windows OEM.

If you think about that that's not only about Windows Phone but Windows 8 if Nokia becomes a huge player in the Win8 market they can come out with HUGE gains.
