Facebook chat, Cant connect

Just wondered if anyone else has come across this. IM sure you probably have and so have i for a couple of months. To fix i tried

Removing Facebook off my phone DIDINT WORK.

Doing the battery saver mode trick, WORKED FOR ABOUT A DAY

Removing Microsoft permissions on facebook DIDNT WORK

Doing a soft reset DIDNT WORK

Then i realised on another windows phone i have that my son showed as online on skype, SO I WENT ON SKYPE STOPPING THE FACEBOOK LINK AND DELETED THE SKYPE APP AND THE REINSTALLED AND BANG has been working like a charm for past week.

I had the same issue today, turns out it was my Facebook Beta app.
