Facebook Chat through Messaging issue

I've seen a lot of success with the chat working without battery saver on. My biggest question just how good is battery saver? I am nervous to keep it off, as my battery has a usually good track record of lasting awhile. Thanks

I found out that the chat status has something to do with your phone's ability to connect to your MS account server. This is because the chat status affects your Microsoft Messenger status, so it needs to be able to access the server in order to do that.

Since I downloaded GDR3 preview, Facebook Chat through Messaging never failed to work. It just always works.
