Facebook issues

Hello , I have a facebook problem. I found something incredibly annoying. If someone sends to me a long message on facebook , for some reason i can't see it all. i see some part of it and when i click see more it opens IE and enters on facebook to show me that message. It is annoying and unnatural for this to happen. Is this how the app works because if so then they should really try fixing stuff like this. Also if anyone knows how to post status emoticons please let me know. Thanks!
