Facebook messenger keeps crashing.

I am on Lumia 830 and on 14393 build on Win 10 Mobile. I have been using messenger for a long time now. The experience has always been substandard but I kept waiting in hope for some fix but never happened. Now I wonder if its just me or messenger app sucks for other users too. The app lacks features, I understand. The app is huge in size for what it does, I get it. But it even doesn't do the minimal thing its supposed to do on Windows 10 Mobile now. Heats up my phone every time I open it up and then crashes randomly. When I search gifs just after I browse 5-6 gifs it crashes. Have already tried resetting app several times now.

FB apps are huge battery and RAM suckers, comparing Instagram to Messenger and fb, it's clear that FB team is either lazy, or they're so busy with PC version!

the only solution is by switching to the beta version, functions better but still sucks
