Facebook on the band.

What is the Facebook button supposed to do on the band? So far even though I get activity on my Facebook it says "nothing new check back in a few." Now I do get a notifications but from the notification button so than what is the facebook button for?

I've seen FB notices show up. Thinks like "Fred commented ...", "Susan liked your post ...", etc. Basically the same notices that pop up in the notification area on my smart phone.

Which makes me think - you may have to have the FB app installed on your phone and notices turned on for the Band app to pick up.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Facebook tile on the Band is compatible with the beta version of the phone app. What I think happens is that when your phone gets a notification, the Health app looks at the app name for the notification. If it's one that you've enabled a tile for on the band, it makes it show up there. Otherwise it just puts it under the general notifications tile.

I believe the internal filter for Facebook is looking for notifications where the originating app is called "Facebook." For beta users, the declared app name is "Facebook Beta," and therefore it doesn't get caught in the filter and ends up in grouped with the other uncategorized notifications. Which is why it looks like the Facebook tile isn't doing anything.

I had the same problem... Yesterday i did some tinkering and found the band doesn't like the Facebook beta app. I uninstalled the beta, installed the non beta and it started working as should.

If you're on the iPhone, then you definitely have the standard app. When you get a facebook notification, where does it usually show up on your Band?

What I've just discovered is I don't need to get the FB messenger app as the band shows me the text of my messages, even if the FB app doesn't (tells me to download the messenger app, which I'm not going to do). I don't generally use FB messenger and the split out of the two really irked me, so this is a bonus. If I need to make a reply I'll use the FB mobile site.
