Agreed. 1520 should be your choice, unless you really really need that camera. Beat in mind the 1520's camera is really rather good!! And there's an sdcard. And that battery won't quit!
I'm in the same situation: 930 or 1020?
First of all.. yes, I need a good camera to replace once a while my DSLR heavy equipment.
What I'm wondering is: 41 megapixel? Really? Even the DSLR sensors can't work out all this resolution, how does it work with a definitely smaller sensor?
Also.. we don't really need 41 megapixel to work on, definitely it's a lot that the human eye won't never be able to valuate.
Please, feel free to tell me I'm right or not.
Stated this, I would go for the 930, because it will last longer being the new upcoming flagship.
Yes, some day we will have the McLaren, but at which huge price? And when?
I think we can definitely be happy with the 930.
As good as 1020's 41MP is, I personally feel you can't really replace a real camera with a phone. So definitely get the 930 as your phone, and get a mirrorless compact as a light DSLR replacement instead.
The 1020 is a "real" camera with better specs than most "normal" "real" cameras. As good as 1020's 41MP is, I personally feel you can't really replace a real camera with a phone. So definitely get the 930 as your phone, and get a mirrorless compact as a light DSLR replacement instead.
The 1020 has a small sensor? It has a 1/1.5 sensor. A normal Digi-Cam has a way smaller sensor like 1/2,3.sorry, but no. It still has no optical zoom and a lot of noise due to the small sensor. And yes, they call it "lossless zoom" but in the end, it's just normal digital zoom. Not that the images are bad, they are really good for a phone. But it's still a phone, and you can't expect it to compete with real cameras. And since he's a photographer and normally uses a DSLR, he will know that the megapixels are of no use when the sensor is still pretty small.
Here in Finland you can buy two 1020 with the price of one 930. That plus the good enough HW 1020 has made it winner for me. And of course the camera.. Just gotta love the results it gives. I came from Android world where specs really mattered. I'm relieved that WP doesn't need spec wars. As said before - it is a phone. And to me best possible camera attached to a phone is a winner.
