All of a sudden when I try to attach a file from my OneDrive to an email, it says "anyone can edit" on the attachment. This has never happened before and I have not changed my privacy settings. How do I fix this?

The files show as shared, but how do I change that? I haven't changed anything and don't know why it started doing that.

I have same problem- from yesterday- must be a Microsoft glitch.

Until they fix it , you can put attachment into an email by copying from its file and pasting into the email rather than using the attach file option.in outlook.

That has worked for me

Found a workaround - you can drag the file over to the email using file explorer (What a pain) or add an attachment to the Quick Access Toolbar and use that.

This defeats the whole purpose of using the attach file interface on Outlook - but it will work until MS gets its act together

It's not a glitch, it's a new 'feature'. MS has decided that anyone who uses OneDrive want to collaborate on everything, so attachments of files stored on OneDrive are now links to the files.

There has been predictable outrage on MS Community and User Voice forums, so expect this 'feature' to be rolled back soon, and possibly an option to set a default for attachments. In the meantime, you can right-click on the file name and select 'Attach as copy' from the menu.
