First time charge

Lipos are not like that, they have zero memory, if you let a lipo go to 3.0 volts a cell its done you might as well through it out, a phone doesn't go 100% dead, its cut off voltage is probably 3.2-3.4 volts a cell. Storage for lipos is between 3.6-3.8 volts. It will absolutely not hurt to go from 0-100% or anything in-between.

I race electric rc cars and that is all we use is lipos.

My phone took literally from midnight to 0900 to charge completely. It's now 2045-ish and at 11% left.

Is that normal?

No. That sounds like one of 3 scenarios.

1. An app is using up tons of resources, even in the background. This can persist even after soft resets if it is set to re-enable itself.

2. The charger and cable set, and/or battery used are not OEM and it is causing either damage or calibration issues.

3. The battery, charger, or both are faulty.

I would say option 1 is by far the most likely. :)

It seems to be better now. It charged fairly quickly last night. Could have been an app I guess.

This is why we need real battery stats Microsoft!! Or an actual task manager so we can see what's running and what isn't.
