flashing the ROM on at&t 830

It seems any phone newer than the Lumia 920 (on either Amber or Black, I forget which) AT&T has enforced a different boot signature so that only AT&T branded ROMs are accepted. You are likely out of luck.

Even when you dead flash? That's really interesting.

I just flashed my rm-985 to cv DE rom as well. no issues, still get good LTE (maybe b/c I am in refarmed area?) and lumia camera 5 was well worth it!

had B&H lumia 830. can always flash back once released in Latin America.

Well I cant change the radio down from lte down to 3g that's mostly what I've noticed so I'd just like to avoid any other things before I find them

Man, if thats all you want, you dont need to flash anything. Just dial into Field Test Code - ##3282#. Then you can go between Edge, H+, and LTE as you please..and even dictate which LTE bands you want so you dont get "pushed" into a weak LTE band.
