Yes, silent is no sound but the alarm sound still work.
Some background applications need access to the internet and when these applications can't find internet they will keep trying to access the internet forever using more juice from your battery.

I don't hate off-topic comment, so I still reply you. I will use flight mode and battery saver mode then. The main topic is finding root cause of battery drain. At the moment conclusion is that Battery app is the killer.

I read another thread, in which someone suggests bad guy is Battery app. So I removed the app.
I have done a quick test of enabling flight mode for 1 hour. The result is good. No battery level change. I will do a full overnight test tonight and report, and may do a comparison test with Battery app installed again later.

A full overnight test is good. In flight mode, no battery drain at all now after uninstalled Battery app.
