For incoming calls-I can't hear ringing tone

I purchased Microsoft Lumia 540 phone 1moneth before.
From the first day itself, It doesn't give any ringing tone for incoming calls.
I checked in settings for ringtones and those are fine.

What should I do and how could I rectify the problem.

is the volume set to something more than zero? Also, are you able to hear music when you play through the speakers?
One more thing, can you change ringtone to see if a different ringtone works?
