Foursquare app is broke

The official Foursquare app is broke.

1. Live Tile is dead
2. When you check into a venue it doesn't tell you how many days til you're mayor ( unless it's your first check in at a venue)
3. You can't become mayor of a venue

I KNOW 4th and Mayor works great. I know most people seem to prefer it. Personally I hate it. The official foursquare is cleaner and less cluttered for me. Also I know most people seem to say 4th is faster. It's just the opposite for me. I can never check in on roads or bridges with 4th because it loads to slow. I never had a problem checking in before with the official app. I'm having to use 4th now and I'm hating it.
I've found it near impossible to reach foursquare support. If anybody knows how to contact them or what's up with the official app let me know.

Sorry you're not a fan of 4th - but in general what does checking into a road or bridge do in terms of the scenario? I'm not sure if the Foursquare House Rules allow for that kind of check-in to start with.

I can be at a venue it takes 4th about 2-3 minutes to open. I know that don't seem long but I'm use to 10-15 seconds with official app. Not to mention most of the time the GPS is screwed up. So I have to open and close 4th 2 or 3 times sometimes to check in. I'm doing it now because I have to but the hassle and frustration of 4th takes the fun out of it. Oh yeah I almost forgot. I can be in a venue and check in and I get the message your phone thinks your to far away. So frustrating

Hey I'm on Tmobile with a HD7. Just curious does anybody out there on a different carrier use foursquare? does it work? looking at the comments in the market it seems to have been down since late December,

I gave Foursquare official app a lot of chance but its is really buggy and slow. 4th & Mayor works perfectly for me, I pinned the Check-in Now to my home screen and after pressing it it takes me about 20 seconds to be able to see all spots and check in. It also like a lot better and much simpler in my opinion.

Also the leaderboard live tile addition in the last update is a cool feature.

Regarding the slow GPS lock on 4th and Mayor, it is no longer as bad as it used to be. Perhaps a second look is in order.
