From AT&T Rom to EU Rom...can I still sim unlock my phone using AT&T unlock code?

I had another thread that explained how ##7280# doesn't work on my EU Rom 920 (coming from the AT&T variant phone). I had the unlock code from AT&T before I flashed the EU Rom but didn't take advantage of using it. Now I'm wondering....If I get another carrier's sim card, like T-Mobile, can I still use that unlock code to sim unlock my phone? Any ideas or confirmation (or lack thereof) would be great.

By the way, I only want to unlock the phone just for gratification purposes....I never part with my old phones even after I upgrade them. My old phone becomes my backup, and having the 920 as a backup to a upgraded WP device would be pretty damn awesome.

Since no one has responded to my question yet, I did some digging around the internet and found that there are some roms that have the field test disabled while others still have it. I know for a fact that the French rom from another thread here had that field test enabled. Maybe there is a correlation between the field test and this ##7280# code...hopefully. I'll flash back to that rom and see if that works. I'll come back with the results.

UPDATE: There is no correlation between roms with it comes to that code. I can only assume that having the stock rom will allow for this code

UPDATE 2: Using the T-Mobile prepaid sim card, I was able to successfully unlock my phone. So once a person has the unlock code BEFORE they decide to flash a rom onto their phone, he/she will still be able to unlock it with that code. Mind you, this is for AT&T Lumia 920 and I won't make any assumptions for another mobile carrier nor another Lumia. I would suggest you (a) unlock phone before flashing a rom, or (2) take the chance I just did and hopefully get good results.

Now I have a unlocked Lumia 920 with Data Sense running AT&T....Excellent!
