Fully charged->restart->97%

Hi!
Just found something:
I chage my new L830 to 100% and leave it a while. Then i turn it off, but i leave it on charge. So it restarts immediately, but then it shows me 96% or 97% charge. After few minutes its back to 100%. I repeated that one more time and same again. But i dont want to do it more often, dont know if thats good for the battery.

So do you have the same? Is it just the Lumia 830 or other phones as well? Oh, wait... i will try it with my Lumia 620

Could be possible that the phone doesnt charge while restarting? I dont know...

The charging IC in the phone manages the battery and you cannot do anything 'bad' for the battery by restarting a phone.

Level is read using a battery gauge IC. If they reset that during startup it may take a few minutes to settle on the right level.

Not something I'd really loose sleep over.

I am not worried, but it is strange. My 620 doesn't do it btw! Just tried it...

Seems to be a problem with the x30 devices, cause my friend noticed the same on a L630 & also on my mom's L530.

Try how many times you are able to reboot it before the battery dies, without charging it. You'll probably discover why it is doing that

I once was downloading a game (can't remember what it was, a shooter maybe?) while on WiFi and juicing up on a wireless charger.
The after finishing the download, I found the phone acting weird and laggy. Did a reboot. Was taken aback as the battery showed only 25%. I did another soft restart. and hello, it's then showed 96%.. weird

Yes has similar thing...charged it, used it, restarted and had 8% more suddenly well

I charged my 930, disconect from charger, restart it and it shows 97%! Every time same! As mentioned above, nothing to loose sleep over.
