Game Apps Crashing

I have a Lumia 928 and have been playing The Sims: Freeplay for a few weeks now without issue. Today, a problem seemed to randomly surface where the game would crash immediately whenever i tried to open it. I have tried restarting my phone both manually and by holding the power button + volume down button. Any thoughts on how to fix the problem? I am leery to reinstall the app as I am not sure if will lose all of my progress.

BTW, this happened once before with Angry Birds, where after a while I couldn't open the game without it crashing instantly.

About the only thing most people can tell you is to reinstall the app. You can make sure there is nothing running in the background before running it (Holding the back arrow for a second or 2) but, otherwise talking to the company who created the game, the only fix is to reinstall it...

And you will lose you save spot....sad to say..
