GDR2 on Ativ S

Nope, still can't get ATIV Beam to install. I even tried side loading it, by downloading the xap file from the Windows Phone store website and putting it on an SD card, but the store app on the phone lists it as an "unsupported application".

This might seem like a silly question but this is an ATIV S that you're trying to install it on?

Yes, for sure it's an ATIV S, T-899M, purchased from Telus, being used on T-Mo in the US, as I said in my initial post.

I ran out of patience and flashed european unbranded firmware with csc=DBT(Germany). Works like a charm + data sense included.

Unbranded and unlocked ATIV S(i8750) bought in official retailer in Russia.


WP8_SMD_binary_USB_Downloader_Ver_3.2 will give you a warning about partition info.

Yeah, there is a trick to enabling download mode.
1. Press Vol.Up, Camera and Power simultaneously.
*Phone vibrates->Turns on->WP Logo flashes on the screen*
2. Release ONLY power button.
*Phone vibrates again*
3. Release Vol.Up and Camera
*Download Mode screen appears*

How can I put device in Donwload Mode?

I am curious, I have unlocked ativ still w/o gdr2, I am still on:
bootloader 12.12.20.17
firmware revision number 2424.12.12.3
hardware revision number 15.15.1.0
radio software 2424.12.12.2
radio hardware 0.0.0.800
chip SOC 1.5.32

Since you say it goes according to imei # does anyone who has gdr2 have an imei number beginning w/ 35408405*******
I am curious because I check constantly and have not received update yet. Very frustrating.
I am running on net10 via at&t the phone is still on windows version 8.0.10211.204

Also, does my phone have fm due to radio software and hardware revision numbers ???

Unlocked I8750 on AT&T - No update (I check daily). I don't have the new Bing search either (but that's a seprate roll out)

Has anyone with Firmware 2424.12.12.3 received the update?

My brother owns a device with same first IMEI digits, but had different firmware versions and got the update some days ago. Hope we 'll get it soon too!

I was wondering if this is the whole problem (firmware version being outdated), is there any way to update firmware to bring it up to date

Mogu ti poslati link sa EU Open FW za Ativ S-a i sa fle?erom pa ga napiči bez čekanja (ako ?eli?).
Moj je inače prilagođen za Nordijsko tr?i?te (bio) pa sam muku mučio sa mt:s karticom za internet.

Pa i moj je Nordic, kupljen je u Švedskoj, ja sam samo upisao za internet podešavanja, gprsinternet>mts>064 i sve radi bez problema..
Well mine is also Nordic, bought in Sweden, I just signed up for a internet settings, gprsinternet>mts>064 and everything works fine ..
