Do you receive the update based on your current network provider, or the initial carrier? I bought my 920, unlocked and unbranded, in Israel for no contract. I recently moved to the UK, and I saw the country variant was out. Great, time to update, right? Apparently not. I went through the info on my phone and apparently my carrier is listed as Orange Poland. Do I have to wait until Orange Poland approves the update?

Looks like GDR is connected to the phone, so you have to wait for Israel Country variant.

Yes, updates are segmented by product codes. One for each color, country and carrier. When the PL Orange product code rolls out, you will get it
