Getting a Band today! One question so far...

Well, Management(My Wife) has approved my purchase request and I'm heading over to BestBuy today to get it. I'm so excited!

I just wish BestBuy opened before 10am.

Yes, turn on watch mode in the settings

Just be sure to keep an eye on the battery levels, watch mode eats moar power.

PepperdotNet is right, watch mode uses more battery, but I've found it minimal. The one thing that really uses the battery is the GPS, I only use it when I'm out for a run or for a bike ride.

Yeah, I turned on Watch Mode and used it for the day. When it was time for bed, I turned it off because it was too bright for my liking.

Instead of turning it off, put the Band into sleep mode. That turns off the display and disables most alerts. (The Alarm ON the band should still work - but the one from the phone probably won't.)

Not to mention giving you sleep tracking stats.

Turn on Watch Mode. Turn on Heart Rate. Use it all day. Charge when you take a shower. Track your sleep. The battery will be okay so long as you charge once a day for about an hour.

Of course I ordered one last week, and the leaked renders of the Band 2 came out over the weekend. I might "gift" mine to management when the new one comes out and get myself a new one.

I think I'll wait to see what the actual features of the Band 2 are before doing that. So far, all I've read says that it's pretty much the same as the Band 1 with some aesthetic changes.

I as well. Unless there is some decent improvement in functionality/features, I will stick with Band 1 as well. Now, if there are features added that I want to Band 2 then mine, and upper management's, bands will get gifted to Jr. management (kids)
