Getting Abysmal Performance with Fast Ring, Alternatives?

I've been running fast ring builds and the past month or two has been almost unusable. Kind of the frog in slowly heating water effect, but I'm tired of it now; crawling slow, crashes, mic breakages (which may be hardware).

What can I do about this: will reinstalling help at all? Switching to slow or another ring? Is 10 coming soon?

For sure a hard reset without restoring is the best thing to do, evenmore if you didn't do it long time
