Getting imported Lumia repaired

Hello. Just a casual question. I have bought an imported Lumia 830. It has no manufacturer warranty as usual. So I want to know whether I could get my phone repaired if something happens to it unfortunately.

Basically, there are number of shops where I can get my phone repaired. But I would not prefer them as they may not handle it with care and might do something else with my phone without consent.

So, would Nokia care store repair it for me if I pay them? Or would they just deny only because it's from another country? "If" they do repair my phone, then about how much would they charge for it? Assuming the defect is related to a part which needs to be replaced or fixed, for example the screen.

Just asking :)

Re: Getting imported Lumia repaired

Not knowing from which country you are and which defect you phone has it is impossible to answer.
But my best guess would be that if you go to a Nokia care center they would repair it with the following exceptions.
1 If you would start about warranty repair then they would not do it because of the "no manufacturer warranty due to import". But this you already indicated.
2 If the phone you have is not available in the country they may not have parts and this could complicate the repair. (Longer waiting time more expensive or just a no to the repair)
3 ???

So the best way to find out is to ask this to a Nokia repair center. (and maybe another center if the first does not want to do it)

Ohh. Actually, I'm from India. And yes 830 was available here until last month. And I said that assuming the issue to be related to manufacturing defect. When I had bought my previous 830, it's screen had popped out of the frame and so, I had been given a refund for it. But this time if the same problem arises I won't accept a refund. As I have wasted a lot of time searching for it all around the city. And now I won't return it. Hence, the doubt.

But do note that at present there's no such defect. The screen does lift up about approximately less than half a millimetre, but it does not bother me too much. I just want to ensure that if the defect grows in future then would I be able to get it repaired locally at Nokia care stores.
