Glance on 735?

I was planning on buying the 735, up until recently I was under the impression that it came with glance feature bit now I am reading that it does not!
Has MS just decided to abandon this feature again?
I thought that after the backlash from not including it in the 930, that they were trying to include it again in the 735 and the 830?

They have not abandoned it. Its just that these phones do not have display memory, so there's no way of displaying something on the screen continuously without constant refresh.

By the way, 830 has glance.

Let's hope Microsoft Mobile can find a solution (or workaround) so our brothers who has 930 and 730/5 can use glance even without the display memory

Hmmm you might be onto something.
Maybe uses black or very dark picture as your lock screen at night.

That would eat your battery unless the phone is on charge and heat up the phone if it is on charge.

The GPU will be working constantly to refresh the screen.

It will get the job some, but it will hardly be optimal.
