Glass not totally flat - defect?

I never understand posts like this or why people think like this... I always put screen protectors on my expensive devices as I have seen first hand what happens when you don't. for example my screen protector now has 2 big scratches on it and if I didn't have the protector on then my screen would be scratched! no one takes care of my devices more than me because I'm always selling them for newer upgrades! screen protector is a MUST! also I have seen countless posts on here of people complaining that the gorilla glass isn't as good as they say because they have gotten scratches on their screens with just having it in their pockets...

It's just fear mongering to sell accessories. But honestly if you say you take care of your phones like no other it shouldn't be a problem because I have never had any problems with any of my phones over the years and I never use them. Most metal won't harm the screen unless you apply some serious pressure. The screen protector scratches way easier so it gives this appearance that it's protecting but it really isn't. The only things you have to worry about are sand and gravel. If you drop your phone on a bunch of rocks, depending on how it slides it can scratch it. Plus screen protectors may change the way force is distributed when a phone falls, and may lower the protection for shattering. My buddy learned that with his HTC M8. A nice screen protector but his phone shattered into pieces. Your best bet if you're worried is a wallet/flip case of some sort. But again its your right to use one. And if you have trouble with the 950xl. Just cut the plastic to not go around the edges. It will look uglier but screen protectors already make it look ugly. They refract light differently and cause the screen to look bad plus they fade over time making it look dull.

It is by design. Just get the Nillkin Amazing H+ Pro Untra-Thin 0.2mm 2.5D tempered glass for it, perfect sticking!

This is what I've found too, unfortunately the screen isn't as flat as would be hoped.
However, I've had success with the Nillkin H+ Pro as well, still 100% stuck, after several days now, including a tough trip to the park today, pushing kids on various play equipment and taking photos, in/out of pocket, etc.
I think you need the thinnest possible protector to conform to the edges not being flat, and this one is it. I posted about this in another screen protector thread as well, but at that point I was only about 1.5 days in. I'm pretty convinced this one is really going to go the distance, knock on glass ;-]

On the protection thing, I find the glass ones to be pretty darn hard to scratch, obviously not impossible by any means, but most types of glass are pretty hard stuff. Obviously if you're going to drag it across a piece of granitic rock, it'll beat it up pretty good ;-]
