Gmaps pro cannot select specific location with finger

Hi, I have a problem with gmaps pro where whenever I try to select a specific location by holding my finger on an area, it selects the spot below my finger for a millisecond but then immediately shifts to somewhere a couple of miles away which is no good to me. If I am going to purchase this after the free trial I need to know if I am doing something wrong or if it is a bug as I need to be able to select specific locations without having to type in the address.
