Google Buying Softcard?!

Engadget is reporting the Google is talking to the U.S. carriers about buying Softcard, which is the only tap-and-pay option we have on WP. (Even if it doesn't work in all that many places.) Hope they don't pull a Youtube and screw us.

Not that I don't think the market it's pandering to will dry up with the upcoming asset bubble burst.

If they do then they will either have to continue support for WP or Microsoft will have a case to force the carriers to allow the native wallet app. If they don't there's an anticompetitive lawsuit waiting to happen.
