Greetings.
Is there any way to prevent Google Chrome from treating saved/created website desktop shortcuts as "installed apps"?
Every time I manually create a website desktop shortcut in Google Chrome, it automatically finds itself in the Programs and Features page of Windows Settings.
As a result of this behaviour I now have nearly 200 entries in my installed apps page. Over 80% of these are desktop shortcuts that I've created through Google Chrome.
I am totally perplexed as to why Chrome would do this.
Is there any way to put a stop to what this can certainly be called "strange" behaviour??
Please help with this frustrating issue.

Microsoft Windows 10 Home 21H2.

Strange... Is your Google Chrome browser updated to the latest version? Try "Reset" the browser. I also suggest you to use windows default browser "Microsoft Edge" which is also based on chromium and very much stable, efficient and smooth...
