That thing is awesome looking. Imagine if it was running Windows Phone. Really hope Microsoft brings out a surface phone that looks that good with cutting edge specs.
Don't be so sure. There's a lot of stupid floating around out there.
Imoressive specs. I wish we could get quick charge to WP, it would be a killer feature
Virtually all high end phones are on all carriers, excluding WP. What I'm saying is that it appears that the exact same Nexus 6 device will work on any of the carriers. No iPhone does that, or any other phone in the world.
Here are the bands in the US version:
Americas SKU: (XT1103)
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/8
LTE: Bands: 2/3/4/5/7/12/13/17/25/26/29/41
CA DL: Bands: B2-B13, B2-B17, B2-29, B4-B5, B4-B13, B4-B17, B4-B29
? Quick Charge is already on WP with 8.1 Update 1. As long as you have a device with the correct processor and a compliant charger.
So, what WP device can charge 8 hours of running time (or whatever it was) in 15 minutes?
To me, spending $400 dollars on a phone with a 720p screen and a Snapdragon 400 would be stupid. I'm sure the price of the Nexus 6 will be a turn off to some people, but I personally don't have a problem paying for specs like that.
Without carrier support (I don't mean updates) you're on your own with a device that expensive. You probably won't have 14 days to return it if it doesn't fill you up. If it malfunctions, who's going to give you a loaner while it's sent back to the MFG for warranty work? As much as we loathe carriers, there are perks for the consumer on devices this expensive.
Stat Comparison Winner
OS - Subjective
Display - Nexus
CPU - Nexus (although the 1520 will probably just as smooth and fast because WP is super efficient)
Storage - Lumia 1520 (microSD ftw)
Camera - Lumia 1520
Memory - Nexus
Battery - Lumia 1520
Price - Lumia 1520 (graph is incorrect. A 1520 can be had for $99 on contract)
Overall Winner - Lumia 1520
The Lumia 1520/930/Icon can do it. Quick Charge is essentially a Qualcomm technology which is the same in whichever phone uses a Snapdragon 800 or better (also some Snapdragon 600 and 400 https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/quick-charge).
Either way, the feature is dependent on the chipset and the OS support which Windows Phone now has.
I haven't seen any reports of any carrier picking it up.Are you referring to the Nexus 6? If the carriers sell it, they should give it the same support as any other carrier device.
I haven't seen any reports of any carrier picking it up.

Is the stock 930 charger compatible?
I can't help wondering about the potential damage a 15 minute charge could do.
