okay so i just noticed Store, outlook mail & calender, messaging & Skype, movies and TV, Facebook , Camera, Groove music , One Drive, Phone, People, Photos Etc Etc my experience with the 10586.36 had been a nightmare so far on L1520 , and i had never had issues that i had with this build, i was a happy camper with minor issues since 10581. I am hoping getting these updates make it better, i was hating my L1520 after a long time, everything was a disaster, issues as small as the notification centre not showing when swiping down and having to restart to fix it, to a point having no response frm the device. it had been the best experience on 10586.29 since the launch first build and .36 made me feel i am back in feb 2015. hoping these updates fix my phone.

please share you experience with the 100586.36 on L1520 and other devices.

PS: hard resetting the device didnt help either, made it worse actually, i am thinking of trying to roll back to 8.1 and then getting the .36 from scratch, Cant bear the looks of 8.1 anymore :P

First, you can't go straight to .36, you have to get .29 first.

Second, did you change you display scaling? If so, that will trigger updates for a lot of apps, as it downloads the appropriate assets for your selected display scale.

I'm running 10586.36 on a Lumia 1520.3. Just checked the Store. I didn't see the updates you mentioned, only Calculator. You got those updates today?

Anyway, running .36 (and .29 for that matter, and maybe even 10581, I forget), the following do NOT work: Motion Data, Motion, Glance, Hey Cortana, maybe one or two others I can't think of just now. Do those work for you?

I'm guessing you changed the size of the text in the display settings? It happened to me. Only Microsoft apps have updates.

I was downloading those updates when i posted this, i didnt change the scaling, maybe it was because i did hard reset, but it seems that the updates have made the phone work way better than the first impression i had with the.36 update. i don't have any resume screen, loading, the camera seems to work faster, the worst thing happened was the swipe down was not bringing the notification centre and i had to restart the device, camera key or screen being unresponsive etc, all of this is gone with the update.

Hey Cortana was working on .29 i have'n got a chance to set it up yet, glance is working fine, i have'nt checked motion data yet either.
So far i think it has improved alot with these updates. cant tell what trigerred the updates.

it seems that things have improved, so i wont go back to .29 but thanks for sharing the info. i see improved battery to btw, had %60 of it and it lasted abt 22 hours with medium to heavy use.

How about Motion Data, Motion, and Glance? (You can find them by searching in settings, then try them). These don't work on my 1520.3.

Which version of 1520 do you have?

my lumia 620 never gets any problem related to glance, may be a hardware thing.however double tap to work sometimes not work

If you did a hard reset, I'd imagine that was what triggered the updates. A clean install installs only the bare minimum of all the system applications that were available when that particular build was released, not what version the applications are actually on.

Gone straight to .36 from stock .11 on Lumia 950. But the phone drains insanely fast and goes very hot if installing any app, etc.

Not sure what you can't bear looking at 8.1 but after a month & a half using .29 & .36 on my 640XL I just bought a new 1520 and using it on 8.1 and have to say I don't miss the issues of .36.. Battery life is excellent, no "resuming" hangups (hated that it did it 70% of the time going from text notification to messaging), NO EDGE(hate it on W10 compared to IE), Facebook is much nicer on 8.1. There are a few things I miss from W10 .36 but it's just so nice having absolutely no glitches at all, everything just works flawlessly and battery life is awesome again. Think I'm going to hold off going back to W10 until the issues are corrected and they get the battery drain figured out, thinking that won't be until Feb/March

I'm enjoying Windows 10 Mobile, despite the little bugs I've seen. I believe the pros override the cons in this case. Besides, it's not like Windows Phone 8.1 was without it's bugs. I had issues all the time with the Volume Controls breaking and requiring restarts.

Not being the defender of W8.1 lol but never had volume control issues with either my 640XL or 1520 or even my old Samsung Focus w/WP7. I must be lucky but I haven't experienced any bugs with 8.1, it's been WAY MORE stable then any Android OS and I've used them for the past 4 years, not even close.. But like I said the "resuming" texting drove me absolutely crazy.. That said I am hoping MS gets W10 cleaned up sooner rather them later because lord knows all new apps will be developed for W10 plus it is a very nice OS!!!
Which WP do you have??

Nobody can accuse MS of not iterating their own apps and during the holidays to boot!

Go Microsoft, you rock!

The coolness of Win10M UI UX is way better than 8.1, i had no issues with battery and everything seems to be great now, I love replying to texts without having to unlock my phone, the organised menus, Groove Music, there is alot to like about it, dont forget that its a preview build so minor issues are expected, i like the fast performance of Edge on my phone , its getting better and better, hopefully firmware update will make it native to our devices and all the issues we are having will be gone, battery life on my 1520 has improved on w10m compared to 8.1, i dont play games so i don't care if they lag or not. looking forward to the new preview build in jan :D

Hey cortana and Glance is working perfect for me, im loving the battery life since the .11 update , motion was working on .29 but not on .39, the app just wont open when clicked :( btw i have the 1520.1 RM-937

Anyone's WiFi die after the .36 update? Searches for networks fail to find any at all.

Firmware update for our phones would most definitely help(1520 here also), your getting better battery with W10 then with 8.1?? Had the exact opposite with any build with my 640XL which is a big reason I'm not going the Insiders route yet.. Like you I'm not a gamer at.all, my use is text, call, email, internet surfing, streaming music(home and Bluetooth in car) and reading/browsing Windows Central 😉
