Now that I got my HP Elite x3 I was wondering what are the gotta have apps to add some cool enhancements to the device. I am new to Windows 10 (coming from a 925/8.1 + an Android). Have already been showing off the device and using the dual SIM and its been working great. Thanks

Some productivity Apps or to customize the phone a little more. I have some of the standard ones ie Facebook, Twitter, Office, OnStar. Every once in a while during my visits to the website I would see a posting about an App and not read into it too much since I didn't have 10. I am also using it for both work and personal so maybe some ways to separate the two.
Thanks

FWIW, I have two SIMs. Also have work and personal on the same device. EAsy to seperate - the work accoutns do not interfere with personal and can be removed in a few seconds.

I use OneNote, RemoteDesktop, and the camera for work.

If you are a Star Trek or Predator fan, there is always Unclocked which shows a themed live tile clock.

And welcome to the Windows Central forums!

See this is where I'm lucky. I don't live on my smart phone. Instagram is the only app I use. I just use internet for all the other stuff. O and steam app.

I have 465 application from many different category in my phone and. So, tell me what are you looking for so I can help you from my experience.

For example,

  1. Travel Applications
  2. Media Applications
  3. Social Applications
  4. Business Applications
  5. News Applications
  6. Weather Applications

And many more, so tell me exactly on what are you looking for?

I don't have anything "exactly" that I am looking for, I just know the perception of the store is a lot different then Android/iOS. I am sure there are some off the wall Apps that are useful that may not be as common or come up right away in the Top Apps.

I know I am being a little vague with the ask, just trying to see what you find useful that maybe some of us have never heard of or used before.
Thanks for your input and ideas

Some productivity Apps or to customize the phone a little more.

Here are some apps which I used to make my former Windows Phone a more productive tool:
- OneNote (already mentioned);
- TeamViewer - useful for controlling or simply viewing your PC from your phone;
- Wunderlist - task management platform;
- LinkedIn;
- PayPal;
- XE Currency (very useful if you're into trading analysis);
- TrueCaller - for all those Spam blocking needs;
- FlightRadar24 - if you fly a lot or just have a general liking for aircraft and seeing their locations live;
- a few good weather apps (Prognoza, Accuweather, Weather Underground, RainAlarm);
- WolframAlpha.

Most of these are free.

a bit off topic, but I would highly recommend getting and "OTG adapter" off of Ebay, so you can plug in a USB stick loaded up with some of your fav movies/tv shows! thats what I use and enjoy all my movies and whatnot on the go! :winktongue:
