Hi! I came to Spain for vacation. I downloaded offline map. Right now GPS doesn't work. It says searching for location forever. I'm totally messed up here. It seems GPS doesn't work without mobile data or wifi. Nokia totally f..ck up things for me. Is there any one knows this issue please?

Okay, so your problem is that you can't access location services offline. What you're gonna need to do is, rather than depending on your phone to know where you are, find an address somewhere and then get directions from that address to wherever it is you want to go. Location services only work with data, as it's dependent on satellite triangulation, which in turn is only available through the network.
Cheers!

Just for the record, do you have a 920? Download GPSinfo to test your GPS.i ve had these problems with 8.0 and GPS worked if it was triggered by this app.

Thank you for your answer. But even on GPSinfo app can't find GPS signal. Maybe GPS device is broken in the phone. I wish there was a way to fix it:'(

The Nokia "offline" GPS is a sick joke. I live outside of NYC, and I can't get a GPS signal unless I'min an open space, 100 ft from any trees or buildings. You may want to test it in a space like that. Don't even think about trying to use it in a car.

I assume you already know that there will no help from Nokia, as they never acknowledge problems.

Stupid question, perhaps, but was Location Services switched on?

My L735 has no problem finding my location, and I don't use data. So it must be using a mix of GPS and cell info to locate my position which it does with great accuracy.
