Do you think this is expensive. But I think that the lumia 800 is quite popular here. It's the third best on Vodafone nz website after the s3 and 4S

Samsung Galaxy S3:..............$1049
HTC One X:.....$999
Samsung galaxy note Vodafone NZ: $899
Samsung galaxy s2: $799

if the 900 was here you don't even want to know
Would you pay for this at all if you lived in NZ?

I guess it's the exchange rate. A New Zealand dollar is worth 0.80 of a U.S. dollar.

I Bet you you don't even want to pay that much Man.

I always shop for pricing. I use NewEgg, Amazon, eBay, MobileCityOnline...etc...in the states.Buying it directly from a carrier is normally more expensive. You have Amazon and eBay in NZ correct? Check the pricing there.

Convert it to US dollars and its still expenssive.
You can even check the prices in EU. After the sale started in my country I knew its going to be a failure.
At least i heard good news today that Nokia stated they have a plan B...Android.
I hope they lower prices otherwise, goodbye.

Oh the plan B

I just relised something,

im pretty sure NZ pays additional IMPORT fees on all electronics and I think that might be why its more expensive. ( some one told me that once )

Canada pricing:

Nokia L900 = 474$ full price
Nokia L800 = 529$ ( not sure why its more expensive then the 900 lol )
Nokia L710 = 375$

id do a contract and pay 100$ before paying 800$+.....
I dunno I heard not everyone in NZ does contracts. they just buy the whole thing. because they can't be stuff paying a fee every month.

If you pay a contract they will say your poor

if you do contract you pay in 2 years.............$2160

No amazon or ebay. I think they call it Trademe here and they still price it badly. honestly very shocking. most of them are either $900 or $800 second hand.

Nokia Lumia second hand $600-$800

Some countries place Value Added Tax on top any sales tax. But if you don't know it, then NZ probably doesn't have it.
Oh. you mean GST?
you don't pay tax in NZ. you just buy the whole thing. well NZ is a major exporting country like Kiwi fruit( actually not called Kiwi because there's a bird called that as well say that in NZ........ people will say.....you eat birds)

I live in a volcanic city ........no surprise
feel sorry for Christchurch...........you guys know right?
killed 185 people 115 alone in one building

That. Is. INSANE! A lumia 900 in Denmark without any subscription (or whatever you call it) costs $560! And it can be found cheaper. Considering the high taxes and everything in Denmark, those prices are a rip off. No one would pay that much!

Those are off contract handsets. The OP isn't shackled to the kinda of 'issues' you deal with at AT&T, VZW, etc. I am sure you would gladly buy a L800 to use on VZW if you could.
