Has anyone encountered this glitch?

This has been bothering me for sometime now, and the only way I can get rid of it is to reboot the device. But, it occasionally pops its way back in. Been in touch with Microsoft, and all they've been able to say is "we're looking into this issue you're having, we'll let you know if we find something."

Here's the scoop. All drivers installed, all updates installed, 100% up to date in all aspects. This is the only issue I've encountered while owning the device.

Anyone? Anything?

My Surface 2 has displayed similar behavior. A block will appear on the screen that is inverted color of what it should be. It doesn't move with touch, though. Restarting removes the block. I've encountered this 3 times so far. Will attach a picture if I can find one. Interestingly, taking a screenshot does not capture the glitch, indicating that it is more hardware/firmware than software related.

So I've been in touch with a customer escalations person at Microsoft about this issue. I sent him the SkyDrive, whoops... OneDrive link that he then passed onto engineers. They had me send over some diagnostic files from the tablet. Signs, in my opinion, are pointing to hardware. But, that's up for the engineers to determine.

The funny thing is this... they have sent me 2 replacements. Each one has had its own set of problems. The first one had an issue with the right speaker. Anytime you would touch the screen or any button, the speaker would emit a super loud buzzing noise. So I sent that back. Then the device I received yesterday was having some major screen issues, dealing with artifacting. But, needless to say, the guy is trying to get me a working tablet that is, hopefully, free of any hardware defects.

It's funny how some people go through many devices because of problems while some get a perfect device from the start :-S

Here I am. Almost 1 month since my last replacement device from Microsoft that arrived even more defective that what I already have.

Still having the same issues. Still frustrated. Still rebooting 4-5 times a day. The screen problem is becoming more and more frequent. And I'm becoming more and more upset.

Hopefully, the next device, which is supposed to be here by Friday, will work as advertised. And will be without defects.

I saw a similar thing on my Surface RT for about a month after which they pushed out a firmware or driver update and all issues went away. I suspect it's a random driver bug that occurs after some other app you run corrupts some video driver memory.

Just received my 3rd replacement for the original....

it suffers from the exact same issue as my original.

And yet, I can get no help from MS right now. No one is returning my emails.

I'm beyond furious.
