Has anyone removed the sticker from the back of the 8X?

Has anyone removed the sticker with the serial number and such from the back of their 8X? Is it supposed to be removed? Any residue left over?

I bought a world phone (unlocked and sim-free) and it didn't come with anything in the back.

Try to remove yours but be careful. If there is some residue after that, try cleaning it with an alcohol-free towel, like the ones they sell for LCD screens.

Mine (T-mobile Blue Model) came with a sticker on the back as well. It contains the phone's serial number, IMEI and HTC Part number. I tried peeling the corner but it doesn't really want to come off that easily. Might give it another try today.

have you considered heating it up with a blow dryer first?

Peeled mine off with no issues or residue left.

Mine (Verizon) has a tab that juts out looks like its supposed to be peeled off

So I bit the bullet and removed it. Came off cleanly but in the right light you can see the outline of where the sticker was. Hopefully it will blend in better over time.

Was wondering myself and took it off this morning, Slightly darker color (black 8X) underneath but should fade with time.

Just gonna keep mine on bought the bodyglove case so its hidden

I pulled mine off very easily. I think after time it would have came off on it's own.
