"Having a hard time connecting to xbox games on L520"

I have my lumia 520 and also my brother bought it last two months from UAE the point is me and my brother noticed that when we're connecting to "xbox extras" this message keeps on popping out. . .

"ATTENTION make sure airplane mode is off, you have a cellular data or wifi connection, and your account and date+time settings are correct"

& I'm sure that airplane mode is off, we have wifi connection and date+time settings are correct. . only we change our region to USA because of some apps availability issue,& we are from the Philippines our current location., also when trying to connect some xbox games like six guns or Kingdoms and Lords we can't connect to other players or such multiplayer modes..

hmm..u tried connecting with a wifi network...or try restarting the phone..or reinstall the app...

I have a WiFi connection and I've tried reinstalling the app. .it didn't work is this normal to a l520?
