HDR, Panorama,... functions for Windows camera?

will there be any extensions for Windows camera app like HDR, panorama, etc. Camera is one of the biggest selling point for new users. Is there any news on that topic

HDR goes by the name "Rich Capture" and is already there in Camera on W10M.

Without flash, RC makes an HDR merge on phone from bracketed shots.

With flash, RC lets you adjust the lighting from no - all in on a sliding scale. Very nice.


Panorama has not reappeared as of yet.

I believe it is App specific. Phones on 8.1 that can get Lumia Camera 5 have it. All phones on W10M with (Microsoft) Camera have it.

Even though Rich Capture is not mentioned in the spec sheets at Microsoft.com for Lumia 550 and 650, both these phones run W10M and have Rich Capture.

Pardon me, but how do I find it on my L920 currently running W10 (.164)

I've got question in on the Mod/Ambassador chat... Trying to see who has an x20 device on Insider and if they have Rich Capture.

Did you ever Hard Reset after installing 10? Make sure Camera is up to date?

Yes, I've done a reset since installing 10. Can't remeber the build numbers I did hard reset on but it's after installing the build before the one with the reboot loop bug.
Also, my current camera version is 2016128.111.0 I'm sure this is the current version.

FWIW, put ProShot on your phone. It has real HDR merging of bracketed shots... More customizable than Rich Capture as well.

Panorama has not reappeared as of yet.

I've installed it today with no problems and it works perfect on my L640 with .164.

It does say "Not for 10" on it now... My 1520 skated over it on install of Apps from backup. I did install it just now and it does work. Thanks.

Let's hope they don't break it anytime soon.

Anyone know why I can't edit the rich capture photos? No menu comes up to adjust lighting or HDR as it would on my w8.1 device.

If you touch that little arrow on the right end of the menu in your picture (collapse it), it should be there. It isn't visible when you pull up the manual camera settings.
